The primary goal of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is to enable the participant to achieve optimal physical, psychological and social functioning through exercise training and lifestyle change. Quality Medical Fitness Cardiopulmonary Program provides a comprehensive approach to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation utilizing a multidisciplinary team of professionals under the supervision of our medical director. Our programs include exercise and education that is individualized for each patient. Participants will gain a greater understanding of their disease and learn ways to manage their health condition to stay healthy and active.

In addition, surgical procedures that might necessitate rehab would be lung cancer surgery, lung volume reduction surgery, and pre/post lung transplantation.

Mountaser Khalifa Program Director
Mountaser Khalifa has been devoted to serving the Huntington community in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation for the past 18 years. Mr. Khalifa graduated from Alexandria University, Faculty of Medicine with a M.B.CH.B. in Medicine and Surgery and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed by the University of the State of New York. Mr. Khalifa's professional organization memberships include the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) and the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). Mr. Khalifa comes highly regarded and recommended by the top cardiologists and pulmonologists on Long Island. He is dedicated to improving the quality of life for his patients by providing the latest education and applying the most advanced techniques and healthcare developments.
